The Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and the Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
The Health Services Management Program holds full certification status with the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).

Dr. Ray Hylock has received the 2015-2016 College of Allied Health Sciences Dean's Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching. The award is given to a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in teaching based on the performance in the past three years. Dr. Hylock is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Services and Information Management. He joined the department in 2013 and primarily teaches courses related to Health Informatics and Information Management.
Dr. Susie Harris, associate professor in the Department of Health Services and Information Management, has been elected to serve on the Council for Excellence in Education (CEE) of the American Health Information Management Association. CEE is the leading force in education strategy for health information and related professions, guiding the academic community and workforce representative through improvements to academic programs and innovation in curricula and resources. CEE consists of 12 members each serving a three-year term.
