Our beautiful main campus Student Health Center is centrally located between the Flanagan building and Joyner East, close to classroom buildings, residence halls, and campus activities.
Beginning summer 2017, students will also be able to receive medical care at Student Health Services at the Health Sciences Campus! A brand new Health Sciences Campus Student Center will open later in the spring semester and will offer a number of services, including Student Health. We hope to begin providing medical care to patients in July--check back to this page or follow us on Twitter (@ECU_SHS) for updates on services, hours, how to schedule an appointment, and more for the new location!
SHS cannot provide personal transportation. ECU Transit operates several buses both around campus and out to some student housing complexes that drop off at various campus locations. For current routes and schedules, visit the ECU Student Transit Authority. Students seeking service who do not feel they can walk need to arrange transportation via personal vehicle. Students too ill to come to either SHS by the aforementioned means should call 911 for EMS transport to the hospital.
Students with temporary or permanent mobility issues may qualify for Pirate Access, a transportation assistance program offered through ECU Transit. Visit the Pirate Access page for more information.
Parking is limited and ECU Parking rules are enforced in the lots adjacent to Student Health. If a designated Student Health Services parking spot is utilized, a parking permit must be obtained upon arrival from our front office staff.
