  • SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

Campus Recreation  Wellness Summer Camps feature the use of the East Carolina University world class Student Recreation Center while also going on recreational excursions. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in the following activities each week relating to the different theme weeks:

  • Swimming
  • Rock Climbing
  • Physical activities and games
  • Arts, crafts, and experiments
  • Guest speakers and on-campus field trips
  • Off Campus field trips per week

Summer Camp Week Descriptions

The off-campus trips include taking trips within Pitt County and it's surrounding counties to visit various fun parks, historical sites, canoeing adventures, water excursions, and more. Camp activities are designed to each each camper become more independent and enhance self-confidence in a  fun, safe, and active learning environment. NOTE: All activities are tentative and could change or be cancelled depending on availability, weather, etc. 

Week 1: Summer Fiesta Week June 4-8 

Join our party as we usher in the summer with a fun-filled week of camp. 
  • Water park excursion
  • Ice Skating
  • Mini-Golf
  • Fun Park

Week 2: Adventure Week June 11-15

Campers will have the chance to experience an adventure of a lifetime. 
  • Trampoline park
  • Water park excursion
  • Canoe at ECU's North Recreational Complex
  • Visit to a zoo
Week 3: Wet N' Wild Week June 18-22
Campers will get to experience many different ways to have fun in the water. 
  • Water park excursion (2 days)
  • Fun park
  • Water games
Week 4: Fun in the Sun Week June 25-29
  • Water park excursion
  • Wood Ducks baseball game
  • Fun Park
  • Mini-Golf
Week 5: Stars and Stripes Week July 2-6* (excluding Wednesday, July 4) 
Campers will have the opportunity to experience and celebrate our great country.
  • Water park excursion
  • Trip to New Bern, NC
  • Fun park
Week 6: Rec and U Week  July 9-13
Campers will have the chance to participate in many different sporting activities / events. 
  • Trampoline park

  • Water park excursion
  • Sports and Fitness activities
Week 7: Great Outdoor Week July 16-20
Campers will get to discover their inner scientist while participating in science themed expeditions. 
  • Museum of Life and Science (Rec Nation only)
  • Fun park
  • Water park excursion
  • Deadwood (Rec Jr. only)
  • Canoe at North Recreational Complex
Week 8: Sports Fan Week July 23-27
Help us end the summer with a great week of fun in and out of the water! 
  • Fun Park

Fun parks include but are not limited to Adventure Landing (Raleigh), Atomic Laser Dome (Greenville, Roller Rinks (New Bern and Chocowinity)

Water park excursions include but are not limited to West Water Park (Kinston), Lions Water Parker (Kinston), Fantasy Lake (Fayetteville), and Fitness Connection (Greenville).

  1. Registration opens at midnight on Tuesday, March 13
  2. Visit the registration portal at https://crwregistration.ecu.edu
  3. Click LOGIN if you already have an account or have an ECU PirateID/passphrase
    1. Note, you must create an account if you do not have an account or an ECU Pirate ID
  4. Once you have logged in, click your username in the top right hand corner
  5. Click PROFILE from the drop-down menu
  6. Under the personal information, scroll down until you see a purple box that says "Add Dependent" and click that box
  7. Add and save your child(ren)'s information
  8. Click REGISTRATION at the top of the screen and follow the prompts to complete registration.

Both summer camp programs will cost $140 per week for Student Rec Center members and $160 per week for non-members.

Note: The week that falls during July 4th will have a pro-rated week based on the number of camp days.
