The Pirate Academic Success Center (PASC)
Formerly known as the Pirate Tutoring Center (PTC) the Academic Success Center offered ECU students support services designed to enhance academic success.  In 2015-16, the Pirate Academic Success Center served 4,870 students with 29,623 face to face visits.  PASC digital services provided for 13 science courses that were utilized by 2,398 students with a total of 24,582 individual content views.  All of these services were provided free of charge to ECU enrolled students.

PASC Services
The Pirate Academic Success Center (PASC) provides free tutoring services, study skills coaching and workshops, academic mentoring, and the FIP Scholars program.  All services are offered free for ECU enrolled students.
Mission Statement

The mission of the Pirate Academic Success Center (PASC) is to provide support for students through peer academic tutoring, academic success strategies, individual assessment and consultations, and outreach initiatives, programs and services that promote retention, meeting academic requirements, and timely graduation.

CRLA International Tutor and Mentor Certified Program
The PASC is a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) International Tutor and Mentor program level 1 to 3 since 2012.  CRLA tutor and mentor training ensures that all peer tutors and peer mentors have in-depth training and experience.  The PASC requires a minimum of level 1 training for all crew members.
